The Girl from the wilderness is a sci-fi dystopia about a worker who is influenced by a prisoner girl to rebel against their leader and to open a box that may contain their last hope for survival. The story takes place in the near future, after the third world war, in a factory amidst vast wastelands covered by snow from the nuclear fallout. In the middle of the factory sits a giant black metal box. David is one of the members of the community who works on opening the box. Since he was little, he has been curious about what’s outside the factory. He knows that the community doesn’t have much. The factory is their shelter and only source of sustainable food and water but that’s about it. There’s nothing more outside anyway. But these are happy people. Because they have a purpose: Opening the box. The box is their only hope for survival. They have to open it to be able to defend their children and community from the ruthless savages out there. Their lives are interrupted when they capture a savage: The Girl from the Wilderness.
